On the 7th December 2007 Tristan Gooley will set sail from Lanzarote in a

32ft yacht. After 24 days alone at sea he hopes to land at St Lucia and

become one of the only people ever to have both flown solo and sailed

single-handed across the Atlantic.

On the 24th May 2007 Tristan took off solo from Goose Bay, Canada in a Cessna

Caravan. Two days later, after refuelling in Greenland, Iceland and Scotland,

he landed back in Oxford.
